I'm so excited to share my chat with pop artist, Drea. She takes us on her journey beginning with piano lessons taught by her mom starting at age 5, to performing in her dad's church, to being a hip hop and break dancer in London, to graduating with a degree in Women and Gender Studies, to releasing her debut album in July of 2016, entitled No Vacancy.

Drea's is a story of getting to the core of who she is as a person, of staying true to herself, of embracing herself as a sexual being, of being an independent woman making a life and a career as an artist in the city of Los Angeles.

During our conversation, Drea opens up about some of the things she's seen in her three years of working in the music industry in LA. She's got solid advice for women in the industry. And, she treats us to a beautiful, stripped down cover of the title track from her debut album!

This episode features author, Camilla Ochlan. Camilla answers twelve questions that can be asked of artists of any discipline. It's interesting to hear how my guests answers to these questions vary, and how they don't.

Camilla's work ethic and sense of self discipline is so inspiring. In a little over nine minutes, you'll hear what makes her tick as an artist, and how she gets it all done, and believe me, she gets a lot done in a day! To find out more about that, listen to Camilla in Episode 21.

And now, with nine minutes of wisdom and motivation, here is Camilla Ochlan.

I'm excited to share a chat with not one, but two amazing artists! I'm talking with Camilla Ochlan and Bonita Gutierrez, authors of The Werewolf Whisperer series. These two ladies are talented and well rounded artists on their own, writing screenplays, acting, producing, writing other books, doing martial arts...I could keep going! Let's just say they have a lot going on, and without missing a beat on their separate projects, they manage to come together to write this urban fantasy series. It's action packed, it's funny, it's sad, it's dark, it's so many things. And so far they've published two novels in the series and two novellas, including the recently released Beast Out Of Hell.

Camilla and Bonita write a past and present timeline that is so seamlessly executed, I just had to ask what their secret was to accomplishing this feat! We also talked character, genre, publishing, getting started as a writer, writing as a team, solo projects, and so much more!

If you're a writer, or have ever even entertained the thought of writing, or if you just love books, this is the episode for you!
